Meet Dr. Caplin
Dr. Caplin is a triple-board-certified cosmetic surgeon, having achieved diplomat status with The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, The American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery and The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Courtney Caplin, MD, DMD is uniquely qualified as a female Cosmetic and Maxillofacial surgeon, with both medical and dental degrees, giving her a special ability to meet the needs of women, especially with regard to facial procedures. As chief resident at The University of Florida, she was the recipient of awards for her ethics and kindness in caring for patients while providing the most complex facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. At the completion of her residency, she was chosen for the highly selective combined fellowship in General Cosmetic Surgery and Facial Cosmetic Surgery under the directorship of Dr. E. Antonio Mangubat in Seattle, Washington. This dedicated specialized training focused on facial and body cosmetic procedures with an emphasis on facial, breast and abdomen. In addition, she has volunteered on multiple mission trips in Central and South America for the surgical correction of patients with cleft lip and palate and facial differences.
As Dr. Caplin values education, she has become a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Oklahoma and trains both students and surgical residents. Dr. Caplin and Dr. Nuveen are the only marreid couple who are triple board ceritfied by The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, The American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery and The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery who operate together in the United States. They have one son, Diederik Caplin Nuveen and a poodle, Ruby Rose. Dr. Caplin continues a lifelong commitment to diet, exercise and personal fitness as well as devotion to God, her family, the University of Florida Gators. Dr. Caplin also volunteers regularly with the Junior League of OKC, helping to build a better Oklahoma City.
